Hi, there ! Thank you for visit our page and being interested in stay with us, please take a couple minutes to know more about us and make your stay more enjoyable:
Casa Gobernador Ajijic works as guest/resting house, we don’t work as an hotel, is very important to us to clarify that, but actually the differences between us as resting house and an hotel aren’t that much:
We don’t have 24 hours reception, we get in touch with you in advance and a couple days before your arrival to check if already have an approximate arrival time to arrange your welcoming to the house, if you need transport from the airport to the house or from the house to the airport we can help you to schedule it for $600 MX each trip, that is the price the taxi at the airport or any Uber will charge you, the difference is that a trusted driver and member of your staff will be picking you up and bringing you to the house directly.
We have staff at the house every morning, you can find there our gardener and cleaning lady that will do the cleaning of your room every 2 nights but is available to provide the cleaning of your room in case you have special request or if you need any fresh towels, bed sheets or toiler paper under request. Also we have or host that will be coming and going at different times during the mornings and afternoons to check around and check with you if everything is ok, but the host isn’t at the house all the time. You can always communicate with any of this staff members in case you need anything.
We have only 6 private rooms with bathroom in our facility, all of them located on the first floor in a stunning Mexican house with more than 50 years of history, we are located just in front of the largest lake in Mexico, Lake Chapala, just in the heart of Ajijic just 4 blocks away from Ajijic Downtown and the malecon.
The rooms include a private bathroom and one bed: on double size bed for the standard room and one queen size bed for the main room, all of them with one cabinet at each side of the bed with a lamp, closet or wardrobe, ceiling fan, one window to the garden that can be opened to refresh the room and one closed window to the street to provide light, 5 rooms have a normal shower and only one with a shower and tub, in there you can always find 2 body towels, one for the hands or face and amenities as shampoo, conditioner, soap and toiler paper. There are no TVs in the rooms, we have one TV in the livinf room (common area).

Inside the house we have spacious terraces and common areas: a fully equipped kitchen available for our guests to use at any time to cook your own daily meals, big dinner table, living room with WIFI (the modem is next to the TV so the WIFI may not be available in all the rooms because of the distance but works perfectly in common areas), and cable TV (Spanish), a pool table available from 12-8 pm to don’t disturb any guest with the noise and in the outside terrace a shallow pool (60 cm/2 ft) ideal to refresh and relax with the best view to the Chapala Lake. Areas of relaxation, meditation, reading, surrounded by gardens.
Every morning we serve continental breakfast that includes coffee, milk, box juices, yogurt, fruit, granola, jelly, peanut butter, cereals, bread and some pastry, the basic stuff to start the day, remember that we have a fully equipped kitchen available for you in case you would like to prepare yourself a more consistent breakfast.
The breakfast is already incluyed in your stay.
We can help you with your laundry, the service is not incluyed and has an extra cost of $100 MX for one washing machine, the dryer and the supplies of the laundry are incluyed in the price.

1) Casa Gobernador has more than 50 years of history so our guests are always asked for an attitude of respect for other guests as well as to the facilities and common areas.
2) We will limit any activity that threatens the peace and tranquility of other guests and neighbors.
3) SMOKING IS PROHIBITED INSIDE THE ROOMS, we have areas designated for it, if you smoke in the room there will be an extra fee for misbehavior.
4) We invite you to take care of the resources not wasting the water and turning off lights when leaving the room.
5) Please throw the paper in the trash can not in the toilet.
6) Please, use the towels only for the body and face. We are here to help, so please let us know if you need an extra cloth to clean something else.
7) We are not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles or personal belongings.

To guarantee a reservation we require the payment of at least the 50% of the total reservation via web payment or deposit or a credit card Information: number, expiration date and security number. We will not make any advance charges, but please read our Cancellation Policy for further information.

CASA GOBERNADOR AJIJIC - CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation must be notified. After any reservation you have 48 hrs to cancel the reservation with no cancellation fee otherwise a cancellation fee will be applied:
Cancellation with 4-weeks before your arrival will have 50% of the full reservation as cancellation fee.
Cancelations with less than 4-week before your arrival date will be charged as the 100% of the stay.
No Shows are charged as the 100% of the stay.
Reservation modification are allowed upon availability and authorization.
